The Italian club had previously attempted to secure Sancho’s signature in the summer of 2024. Juventus were close to finalising the move, and the English international was said to be open to joining the Bianconeri. However, that deal ultimately collapsed when Chelsea made a late approach and convinced the former Borussia Dortmund star to join them instead. Now, with Sancho's future again in question, Juventus have returned to the negotiating table with renewed interest.

While the names of Weah, Luiz, and Vlahovic have been floated, United are yet to engage in advanced talks or express formal interest in any of the three players. Despite Juventus' efforts to make the deal appealing, it appears United have not committed to any negotiations regarding a swap at this point.

Juventus are reluctant to meet the entirety of Sancho's current wage demands. While there are reportedly no objections from the Italian side concerning a potential transfer fee, the financial strain of covering Sancho’s full salary has proven to be a sticking point. This may yet prove to be a hurdle unless compromises are reached, potentially including United agreeing to subsidise part of the winger’s wages.

Given Sancho’s uncertain role at United and the club’s desire to reshape their squad, the door appears open for movement. It now remains to be seen whether United will take the bait and consider a player-plus-cash arrangement or push for a straight cash sale elsewhere.
